On July 20, 2023, a severe hail and wind storm damaged forests in Warren County Pennsylvania. There were reports of "hen-egg sized hail" (that was often two inches in size). The storm's footprint shows up from satellite image based remote sensing, particularly with Change-Over-Time techniques.  These maps show the change in the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) from mid summer to late summer, 2023.

Based on HiForm's damage footprint, this event caused defoliation or damage to forests along a 20km track that was as much as 2km wide.
